Smoky Mountain Ziplines Is Open!

After taking two and a half months off for a winter hibernation, Smoky Mountain Ziplines is officially open for the season, as of this past weekend! We thought we'd mark the occasion this week by pointing out all the great reasons to visit our Pigeon Forge attraction in the mountains and add a little adventure to your Smoky Mountain travel plans. Whether you intend to come to the Smokies this weekend or perhaps wait until school is out for summer, we have a whole lot to offer our guests.

Let's start with the ziplines. We have seven of them, starting off with the shorter ones to help newbies get their feet wet, and going all the way to lines that are 800 feet long. That's the length of nearly three football fields! Guests also zip as high as 150 feet above the forest floor. Overall, our lines total 4,200 feet of cable, making us the longest continually operated canopy tour in the Pigeon Forge area.

Along the way, the course has a number of interesting features, including manmade tower platforms that are as high as the tallest trees in the forest and afford our guests some of the most beautiful views you'll see of the Great Smoky Mountains. Our ziplines are also positioned so that guests do minimal walking. We shuttle you up the mountain to the first zipline and back down to our outpost from the last zipline in our military transportation trucks, and once you're on the course, you only have to walk short distances to get from the end of one zipline to the start of the next one. Finally, we have an exclusive 30-foot controlled-descent feature between ziplines that's very similar to being lowered to the ground from a rock climb.

Our outpost is less than two miles from the Parkway in Pigeon Forge, which means it's close enough to all the action and accommodations to be convenient, but we're also far enough out that you're truly immersed in a woodsy Smoky Mountains setting. And our base camp has lots of amenities, including complimentary canned drinks and bottled water for our guests and facilities that are ideal for group celebrations or even corporate outings.

Our base camp is also where you'll get geared up for your adventure. We always make safety a top priority, but our high-quality five-point harnesses are designed to also keep you comfortable so you can enjoy the ride. And don't forget about our professional zipline guides. They're with you from the get-go, picking out properly fitting safety gear for each guest, accompanying you up the mountain in our transport vehicles, showing you the proper way to ride a zipline and staying with you every step of the way as you stay safely connected to each zipline platform when you're not actually out on the cable. Oh, and our guides are pretty entertaining too…

We've been showing Smokies visitors a fun time for 10 years now, so we have the experience and track record that has consistently earned us the highest rating for outdoor attractions in Pigeon Forge on No other local outdoor attraction ranks higher than we do, and we have tons of testimonials from satisfied customers to back that up.

So if you plan to be in the Smokies this spring, summer or fall, make plans to give us a try, or if you're a returning customer, come out and play with us again. Call us to book your tour, whether you're traveling by yourself or with a large group. We hope to see you soon!
