Shopping and Zipping in the Smokies

Here's an idea for a fun two-part outing that's bound to please everybody in the family. Consider spending half a day with us at our zip lines in the Smokies and the other half of the day engaging in some retail therapy. Whether you zip first and cool off in the shops or follow up your bargain hunting with one of the biggest adrenaline rushes in the area, you're bound to put together a plan that will leave everyone smiling by day's end.

Of course, you can't even cram all the Smokies' “shoppertunities” into a half-day, but here are some suggestions for what to do. You can hit some of the Pigeon Forge outlet malls like Belz Factory Outlet World and Pigeon Forge Factory Outlet Mall, or check out the popular Tanger Five Oaks Outlet Center in Sevierville. Sevierville is also home to a great collection of flea markets and antique malls along Highway 66, between downtown and Interstate 40. In Gatlinburg, there are dozens of craft and souvenir shops lining the Parkway downtown, or you can venture out to the Great Smoky Arts & Crafts Community just north of town in the Glades area.

But don't shop 'til you drop, though. You'll want to save some steam for an exciting three hours of ziplining action at Smoky Mountain Ziplines in Pigeon Forge. Our 18 ziplines and competitive pricing also make this big-thrills attraction one of the best bargains in town.
