Smoky Mountain Ziplines has been open since March, but if you think it's too late to get some ziplining action in this year, you would be mistaken. In fact, we're getting into one of the best times of the year to get out on our course and enjoy the best ziplines Sevierville, Pigeon Forge or Gatlinburg have in store. If you're still not convinced, read on, and we'll give you five good reasons why you need to schedule a tour with us THIS MONTH.
After experiencing 90-degree temperatures well into October, it's finally starting to feel like a normal autumn around here. The days can still be warmish, but we're talking comfortable seventies and eighties instead of sweltering nineties. And the nights are really starting to have that fall vibe, with temps dipping down into the forties in some cases. That means if you come out and take our canopy tour, you'll probably get to enjoy the most pleasant of conditions, whether it's cloudy or sunny that day. Just keep an eye on the daily forecast for the date you plan to visit, and dress accordingly. You may get to wear shorts and a T-shirt, or you may need long pants and a layer. But either way, fall is here, and it's one of our favorite times of year.
Summer dragged on so long that the annual fall foliage transformation will probably be a little delayed this year. But even in late October, you'll be seeing the telltale signs of it on our mountainside course. Look for the green leaves to be showing their early transition to yellow, orange and red, depending on the variety of tree. And don't forget to find some opportunities to get your phone out and take some photos. Our heavily forested acreage provides the ideal backdrop for your morning or afternoon of ziplining, and our stunning views of the Great Smoky Mountains only add to the eye-catching scenery.
If you book your tour from our brochure, we'll offer a $15 discount off our going rate, or you can book online and save $15 as well. Active military personnel and their families receive $5 off any ticket purchase, and the same discount is extended to seniors ages 65 and older. If you're planning to travel here as a group, call us about our discounts for parties of eight or more.
Out of the 21 outdoor attractions in town, we're the best rated, according to TripAdvisor.com. Currently, the site has more than 2,100 reviews of our zipline tour listed, and more than 2,000 of those have us rated as Excellent. Another 94 rate us as Very Good. That's a lot of awesome feedback that we're grateful for, but we hope it gives you confidence that if you go ziplining with us in October, you're in for a great time.
Booking a tour on our ziplines means traveling to the Great Smoky Mountains, so if you're going to be in the area visiting us, there are also a lot of other places to go and things to do while you're in town. There are countless attractions in Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, not to mention shops and restaurants. During Smoky Mountain Harvest Festival, all three towns are celebrating the season with festive fall décor, and each city also offers a full calendar of special events to enhance any visit. And don't forget to visit Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Between the temperatures, the scenery and the foliage transformation, October is the ideal time to go on a hike, a picnic or a scenic drive in the park.
