How High & How Fast are Your Zipline Tours?

“How high are the lines, and how fast do you go?”• These are two of the most common questions we hear at Smoky Mountain Ziplines. Sometimes people are asking because they're a little afraid of heights. Sometimes it's because they want to make sure they'll get the most out of their adventure. Whatever the reason, we have the answers.

You start out in zip school, learning the ins and outs of zipping and getting comfortable with the equipment. Our guides help you suit up then show you how ziplines work. Don't worry if you're new to the sport: we'll teach you everything you need to know.

After you've ridden a couple of training lines, you'll start out low and slow on the first of 14 ziplines. Begin at ground level and zip along a 200-foot line where you'll end up 25 feet above ground at the first stop on your tour. That's just about the length of an average suburban yard, and the height of a two-story house. Each subsequent line is a little higher and a little faster than the last offering a good balance of thrills and security.

At least two trained guides are with your group at all times to ensure safety and that you have an absolute blast!
